Immerse yourself: La Traviata
The curtain rises on the lavish salon of Violetta’s Paris apartment, as Act I of Shawna Lucey’s stunning new production is performed in its entirety (approximately 25 minutes), with full orchestra, chorus, and principal cast. This Act contains timeless musical moments such as the haunting prelude, the impossible-not-to-hum-along-with “Libiamo ne’ lieti calici”, and the sparkling tour-de-force “Sempre libera.”
Following Act I, the action moves from the auditorium to the Opera House lobbies: ornate, hallowed hallways that have hosted opera audiences for decades, and that for one night only are transformed into a not-to-be-missed party you’ll want to share with friends old and new.
You’ll recognize the themes of the lobby decor, entertainment and treats.
Recommended for audiences ages 21 and over. Some lobby areas will include adult content. Discretion is advised.
