Team Bonding Menu and Thought Starter

Improv / Storytelling Workshop

High performing teams require relationships based on trust and impeccable communication. There's no better way to build that trust than to test those relationships, on the spot, in the moment, without a script and without a net. And did we mention that it's also insanely fun?

Our professional storytelling coach works with major corporations across the technology, healthcare, retail and interactive gaming industries. He spent the first half of his career on the stage, and happens to be very funny.

Price:  $3,000 - 4,000  (Three or four hours)

  • Our executive coach will help you build and bolster those relationships in a 90 minute or 2-hour improvisation workshop that strengthens teams and harvests big laughs.

  • Then we can launch into a storytelling workshop, using brand messaging or stories of individual success.

This storytelling workshop will underscore the importance of being able to land a message on an eager audience. It’s also an incredible way to get to each other better.

Art for Everyone

There’s power in a paintbrush! In this hands-on drawing and painting workshop, we lighten the mood with the satisfying swirl of paints and graphite. Our artist / cartoonist leads your artistic and non-artistic groups through competitive and non-competitive painting / drawing games, such as:

  • A fun color mixing project. Everyone mixes a color. Then around a large table you paint a circle with your color. You leave your color and take your paper and move to the left. Use that persons color to paint around your circle. It’s a color study, based on a famous Kandinsky painting. https://www.wassilykandinsky.net/images/works/370.jpg

If time, they could also break into smaller groups and do a cooperative painting with their colors. Or free painting.

  • From the Bauhaus drawing game. You draw a head, then fold your paper and pass to the next person, who cannot see but draws a chest, folds again and passes the paper. If time, after a few rounds people can choose one to color and add background. Good for people with some basic drawing skills, but fun for everyone. Very hilarious results.

  • The artist leads people through drawing funny cartoon figures, very non-competitively. Then we pair up and learn how to draw cartoon expressions” using participants as models. Very fun!

It’s a great get-to-know-you event.

Pricing: Think $2,500 - $3,000 to include the artist and materials for a group of 20.

Add snacks and cocktails to make it a party.

Wine Tasting & Chocolate Making

It’s the ultimate team: Wine and Chocolate. For this experience, we head to an old-school North Beach candy shop, where we’ll combine candy-making with wine tasting. This one is pure fun — and everyone ends up with high quality treats to bring home to their people.

$120 per person; best for groups of 8 - 20.

Metal Working / Jewelry Making

We are pleased to partner with one of the longest-running working metal studios in North America — right here in North Beach. Three generations of metalsmiths have fabricated jewelry and metal crafts here, and there is a deep bench of teachers to bring hands-on metal work to your team.

  • Guided by our teachers, students will design, craft, and perfect their very own rings. They will use their newfound skills to work with the pre-cut pieces of silver that will become their rings. This is where individual creativity comes into play, as each person will have the ability to customize their metal and create whatever their imagination can inspire.

This is a 2½ hour workshop that can accommodate up to 12 people.

  • This project is the most straightforward and versatile. It can be done in our studio, or offsite at another location.

Students will design nameplates to customize pre-made copper mugs. They can put their name on them, or a design, or whatever they choose. At the end of the workshop, the plate will be riveted onto the cup and it will be ready to use. This is a simple yet evocative way of putting a creative touch on something.

This is a 2½ hour workshop.

  • This project is for those who welcome an artistic engineering challenge.

Students will each start with an identical pre-made kit. Inside are pieces of metal in various types, shapes, and sizes. With those materials, and the tools and equipment in our shop, the students will be given free reign to create whatever they like.

This workshop is a great chance for people to improvise, work their imaginations, and maybe even indulge in some friendly competition. Those who have some jewelry or metalworking experience will excel here, but our teachers will always be available to guide everyone through their process regardless of skill level.

This is longer workshop, ideally around three to four hours. It can accommodate up to 12 people.

Create pieces to commemorate your San Francisco adventure or exhibit your team spirit! These workshops are best for smaller groups because of studio size.
